II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
The contractor shall provide security services, which includes building security and stewarding services on a call-off basis for all internal and external areas.
The contractor shall provide a professionally managed, high-quality security, guarding service that has BS7858:2012 – Security screening of individuals employed in a security environment and BS7499:2007 – static guarding and mobile patrol or equivalent accreditation and complies with all legislation governing the security industry.
The contractor shall provide a professionally managed, high-quality event stewarding service which complies with BS8406:2009
The contractor shall also have options to provide high-quality close protection staff, canine teams, CCTV monitoring staff and concierge to the employer on an as required basis.
There will be an opportunity for a site visit to Manchester Central on Tuesday 3rd December. The visit will take the form of a small briefing, followed by a walk-around of the venue in order to possibly observe an event and an opportunity for open questions.
Please email with the names of those attendees wishing to join the site visit by 4 p.m. on Monday 2nd December. A maximum of 2 personnel from each bidding organisation will be permitted to attend. Dependent upon availability, bidders will book on to a slot either between 10.00 a.m. or 2 p.m. and the visits will begin at Manchester Central’s concierge. A further date may become available due to late bidders.
