— Providing specialist support in formulating, developing and underpinning NDA’s strategy across all strategy themes — Independent peer-review of technical documents, plans, programmes of work and projects under other frameworks, e.g. DRP,
— Assist NDA with technology management and associated plans and procedures,
— Assist NDA in coordinating and managing technical and strategic meetings, workshops and forums,
— Assist NDA to develop scopes of work, e.g. Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents for competition under other frameworks (mostly DRP),
— Support to technical assessment of tender responses to ITTs and deliverables,
— Desk based strategic assessments where they do not belong under the scope of DRP framework,
— Experimental work is not in the scope of this framework.

Examples of type of activities and scope associated with each of the areas could include, but are not limited to,the following:
1. Site decommissioning and remediation:
— Secretary to the nuclear Industry Group for Land Quality inc. support the interaction of the group withstakeholders,
— Technical project manager to facilitate the development and delivery of DRP projects.
Integrated Waste Management:
— Review of Radioactive Waste Management Fora.
2. Spent Fuels:
— Development of road-maps for Oxide, Magnox and Exotic spent fuel R&D,
— Support in coordinating and managing technical meetings and forums on spent fuel management,
— Independent review of R&D deliverables.
3. Nuclear Materials:
— Support to NDA work on uranics and plutonium disposition,
— Development and review of technical road-maps on Plutonium disposition options,
— Independent review of technical documents on Plutonium disposition options.
4. Research and Development:
— Independent review of DRP framework contractors’ deliverables,
— Review and analysis of site license companies TBuRD submissions (e.g. annual technical reports, R & Dtables, technology maps, process wiring diagrams).
