Defence Investment Plan Hub
The UK's £298 billion Defence Investment Plan (DIP) is reshaping where defence funding goes for the next four years — and reshaping it fast enough that a single report or a one-off webinar won't keep you current. This hub is where DCI tracks it as it moves.
Breaking news and analysis on DIP announcements, funding allocations, and what each shift means for suppliers — updated as the story develops, not just at launch.
Webinars, live and on-demand, unpacking specific investment areas — nuclear, combat air, autonomous systems, munitions — with the people tracking them closely.
Market reports going deeper than any single article can, with the data behind the headline figures.
The Defence Investment Plan (DIP), published 30 June 2026 by the MOD and HM Treasury, is the funding and delivery roadmap for the 2025 Strategic Defence Review. It commits £298bn over four years (including £15bn of new money), lifting UK defence spending from £54bn to nearly £80bn a year by 2029 — 2.7% of GDP, the highest in three decades, on a path to NATO’s 5% target by 2035.
Headline allocations: £63bn+ for the nuclear deterrent (Dreadnought, SSN-AUKUS, new warhead), £26bn for naval base upgrades (Project Royal Oak), £8bn+ for the GCAP stealth fighter, £11bn for munitions and six new energetics factories, and a growing slice — drones, AI-driven targeting, cyber — for non-traditional capability areas. It also creates a National Armaments Director Group and UK Defence Innovation to speed up procurement, plus a £500m Transformation Fund and £50bn export finance facility aimed partly at SMEs.
The Defence Investment Plan is reshaping how — and where — £298bn of defence spend will flow over the next four years. Our Defence Investment Plan Hub brings together everything you need to stay on top of it: the latest news and analysis, in-depth blogs, market reports, and webinars, plus upcoming events where you can meet the buyers and primes shaping delivery. It’s your single destination for cutting through the noise and understanding what the DIP means for your business.
