German army and navy helicopters will be supported by Safran Helicopter Engines following the award of a seven-year support contract by BAAINBw (Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support).
The contract will see Safran support around 100 of the RTM322-powered NH90’s that are operated by the German Army (Heer) and German Navy (Marine). Safran will provide full maintenance and repair services as well as overhaul (MRO) for the engine fleet.
BAAINBw representative, commented: “With this contract, German Army and Navy will benefit from a very effective engine-support for their RTM322 engines, especially during their operational tasks. This contract is the result of a very good and fruitful partnership between us and Safran Helicopter Engines”
