A tender has been issued for 4 hovercrafts, 2 with lower payload and 2 with higher payload.
The hovercrafts should have the following specifications:
be able to manoeuvre at high speed over shallow water and tidal zone access
have twin-engines, aluminium-hulled, diesel fueled and separate propeller/fan for propulsion and lift
the lower payload vessels shall be an open hovercraft for carrying 4 persons and has a payload of at least 350kg
the higher payload vessels shall have a covered cockpit for 9 persons and has a payload of at least 950kg
The vessels will be used:
for preventing and detecting crime, performing law enforcement and observation duties including immigration and smuggling
to undertake police amphibious search and rescue operations, casualty evacuation, disaster relief, maritime security, counter terrorism and logistical support
You must provide 5 copies of the design and construction specifications of the vessel including drawings.
