Dundee-based electronics company Albacom has secured two six-figure contracts with Indian defence companies.
The first of these contracts is Albacom’s third project in the region, and follows the successful completion of two programmes of work to provide electrical components to a leading Indian defence and aerospace company. The second contract is an extension of a government agency programme of work, and allows Albacom to strengthen its relationship with the Indian supply chain.
Jim Davidson, Albacom CEO, commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our experienced team based in Dundee to expand our electronics capabilities in India, and reflects our commitment to the region. We look forward to developing these relationships throughout 2018, and in the years ahead. ”
Country head, India at Scottish Development International, Cherise Mascarenhas, said: “This success is an important building block in the growth of bilateral trade between Scotland and India, bringing to the fore the niche and innovative technologies that Scottish companies can lend to global companies. On behalf of Scottish Development International, I would like to congratulate Albacom for their continued success in India, and I look forward to supporting them for their growth strategy in India and Scotland.”
